About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable health system with multiple hospitals, clinics, and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented HUC-Nursing Assistant to be part of our community-focused and care-driven team. This position is located at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA, and offers a day shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. As a HUC-Nursing Assistant, you will perform a variety of office, secretarial, and patient care duties under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Care or Designee. Your role will include coordinating services to ensure the completion of daily activities within the nursing unit, assisting with patient care, and maintaining a supportive environment for patients.

Requirements

• Completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Meditech computer system.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of office, secretarial, and related duties within the assigned unit.
• Provide basic patient care including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutritional support.
• Maintain the patient environment to ensure comfort and safety.
• Coordinate ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies.
• Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and related responsibilities as directed.
