About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable health system with multiple hospitals, clinics, and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented HUC - Nursing Assistant to be part of our community-focused and care-driven team. This position offers a $1,500 new hire sign-on bonus for new hires and rehires who have been termed for more than a year. The role involves working 40 hours per week on evening/night shifts, with specific hours from 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM and 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM, including weekend and holiday rotations. You will be at the heart of our commitment to providing world-class, comprehensive healthcare close to home.

Requirements

• Completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or equivalent required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of office, secretarial, and related duties within the assigned unit.
• Provide basic patient care duties including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutritional support.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Coordinate ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies.
• Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and related responsibilities as directed.
