The Hub Driver (Class A) is responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with Company, Federal, State, and Local laws, including FMCSA regulations. This role requires operating various types of equipment, including manual transmission vehicles, and performing safety functions like chaining tires. The driver must be skilled and qualified to drive in all types of terrain, routes, and environmental conditions. Key duties include maintaining records, ensuring cargo security, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting maintenance issues, verifying unit numbers, and potentially using in-cab technology. The position may involve varied schedules, dock work, and occasional over-the-road runs based on business needs, while providing professional and courteous service to customers and the public. Regular attendance is required, and employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and tasks.
