The Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems Department is searching for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for the Electrical/Systems Technical Lead role on the Air Dominance Sustainment program tasked with supporting field repairs for the High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Targeting System (HTS) and a proprietary program. The Technical Lead will work closely with all disciplines associated with the Sustainment repair process including Program Management, Chief Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain and Production Operations to ensure the technical integrity of our products is maintained and performs as intended every time. The Technical Lead’s knowledge base will be used to lead and/or support failure investigations, obsolescence redesigns, factory escapes, supplier issues and much more. The ability to calmly but quickly review and analyze information, separate fact from fiction and make decisions and/or recommendations is critical in this role. The Technical Lead also provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments. Allocating time to mentor newer engineers is also key to the success of the team and program. They also manage suppliers and may lead efforts in proposal development. What You Will Do: Responsible for the technical integrity of the HTS and proprietary program assemblies, including the Technical Data Package (TDP) maintenance, validation, and integration Technical oversight for a team of 8 program specific engineers and leading/managing the teams’ cross functional engagements Manage the technical risk for the HTS and proprietary program assemblies Responsible for technical oversight of Sustainment failure investigations Frequent engagement with program chief engineers to ensure technical rigor Engagement with program management on strategic development of plans for execution and/or course of actions to ensure contract execution in regard to cost and schedule Work environment is primarily in an office, but may include labs, field work, or a combination. Responsible for suppliers and customers for procuring and demonstrating capabilities in lab or field environments. Assignments may include proposal development, design changes and analysis; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans and reports; peer reviews of designs as a subject matter expert; presentations to peers, management, and government customers; and root-cause failure investigations.
