The position involves working closely with local managers to implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) processes and programs, including the EPS Global HSE Management System (HSE 360). The role requires ensuring that necessary HSE inspections and audits are conducted, and corrective actions are taken when needed. The individual will also be responsible for delivering HSE elements of new employee orientation programs, leading incident investigations, and promoting injury prevention strategies. Collaboration with site leadership and employees is essential to solve problems and ensure that corrective actions are validated to prevent similar incidents in the future. The position also involves maintaining open communication lines with employees and leadership, reviewing HSE programs and policies, and ensuring job hazard analyses are current. Additional responsibilities include initiating work orders for equipment repairs, coordinating with HR and Workman’s Compensation personnel during injuries, managing hazardous communication information, and acting as the primary contact for HSE inspections.
