Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 4 years of experience in safety environment within automotive manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate the detailed technical safety and environment activities associated with the facility's daily functions.
• Develop the skills of the managerial team, enabling them to head the effort in their respective departments.
• Responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of all plant safety, environmental and security activities to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Support plant safety compliance per regulations.
• Develop safety programs & oversee implementation.
• Support plant environmental performance and compliance per regulations.
• Oversee & support the ISO 14001 and 45001 Environmental Management System.
• Conduct safety & environmental training/lead & support workshops.
• Act as the main contact with state/federal agencies including interaction.
• Develop safety policies/procedures & oversee implementation.
• Supervise waste treatment.
• Ensure safety equipment administration and usage compliance.
• Manage loss control and risk management.
• Maintain strong knowledge of hazardous waste, air permitting, and EPA regulations.
• Uphold the safety and sustainability culture responsibilities.
• Utilize digital support tools (Intelex, EASE, M2S, etc.).
