About The Position

The HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Director at Palace Entertainment is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE management system across various parks. This role ensures compliance with applicable HSE standards and legal requirements, while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization. The director will collaborate with park management and staff to minimize risks and enhance safety protocols, ultimately contributing to the overall operational excellence of the parks.

Requirements

  • University or Technical School Degree or Diploma in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • More than 3 years' experience managing HSE, preferably in the amusement or leisure industry.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a park Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management system.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable legal and Parques Reunidos HSE requirements in the assigned park.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the park HSE management system at assigned primary and ancillary parks.
  • Incorporate Parques Reunidos HSE standards and local legal HSE requirements into park procedures and training.
  • Support park management in deploying and delivering HSE standards and procedures.
  • Provide expertise on HSE topics, including local legislation, risk assessment, and emergency management.
  • Conduct ongoing proactive risk assessments to identify and minimize potential risks.
  • Act as liaison with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with HSE expectations.
  • Perform self-audits and inspections to verify compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and present HSE related training programs for employees.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures and coordinate drills/exercises.
  • Investigate HSE related incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive actions.
  • Monitor completion of follow-up actions for HSE findings from audits and inspections.
  • Prepare periodical HSE performance reports for park management.
  • Identify weaknesses in the park HSE management system and recommend corrective actions.
