About The Position

W-Industries is an energy service company that specializes in Automation Solutions, I&E Construction Services, Power Generation and Packaged Equipment for the Energy and Industrial markets. Our expertise encompasses the full spectrum of system technologies from pneumatic - hydraulic control systems to state-of-the-art programmable solutions to chemical injection systems, and everything in-between. The HSE Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the department by responding to general inquiries from employees, vendors, agencies and managers. Offshore experience is a huge plus.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook.
  • Must exhibit a professional telephone and personal demeanor.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products – e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels in the company.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • 3-5 years of HSE experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour

Nice To Haves

  • Offshore experience preferred
  • OSHA certification of completion preferred: OSHA 510 or 511 OSH Standards / OSHA 501 Trainer Course Occupational Safety & Health Standard

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of all aspects of health, safety, and environmental programs in assigned facilities or operations.
  • Execute established processes for incident response, investigation, and injury management.
  • Liaise with front line supervisors and employees to coordinate activities and provide guidance on all matters related to health, safety, environmental, and security.
  • Establish effective lines of communication with management and employees regarding corporate adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act in accordance with safety department policies regarding people, data, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Perform regular audits of assigned operational activities to detect, correct or prevent existing or potential hazards within corporate operations and facilities
  • Participate in customer audits of corporate operations and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Provide HSE technical expertise and support operations on regulatory compliance issues in safety.
  • Understand any/all potential safety hazards present; take steps to reduce/ mitigate any potential hazards.
  • Functional understanding of risk assessments of operational activities and incident investigations.
  • Engage and facilitate location safety committees.
  • Deliver effective training and implementation of all aspects of corporate health and safety programs.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and articulate submittal of all HSE reports as needed.
  • Assist in operational compliance to all state, company, customer, federal and local safety regulations and requirements.
  • Maintains, updates, and distributes environmental/safety policies and procedures documentation.
