About The Position

Western Midstream is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to join our Occupational Health & Safety Team in Mentone, TX. This high-impact field leadership role partners directly with operations teams to champion safety initiatives, strengthen collaboration, and ensure operational excellence across our West Texas operations. The successful candidate will be an experienced HSE professional capable of working independently with limited direct oversight, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and accountability in the field. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices, with ability to translate them into practical guidance.
  • Skilled in incident management, audits, and corrective action planning.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging both field and leadership audiences.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and growth oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field OR 10+ years of progressive HSE experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including demonstrated leadership in field safety operations.
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions preventing operation of a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support regional HSE programs, compliance processes, and initiatives tied to corporate safety goals.
  • Conduct field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; develop corrective action plans and ensure follow-through.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, safety meetings, and corrective action management to drive a learning culture.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training to employees and contractors to strengthen competency and accountability.
  • Partner with asset leadership to build safety culture norms and foster a prevention-focused workforce.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and interpretation on federal, state, and local safety requirements.
