Our team works cross-functionally within our organization across multiple disease areas and platforms. Our goal is to deliver on the promise of gene therapy to patients around the world. This role may require up to 10-15% travel for conferences or training and will include the opportunity to mentor and train two junior scientists. Requirements

  • PhD with 0-3+ years of related experience OR BS/MS with 5+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in HSC biology and formulation, including flow cytometry, qPCR, ddPCR and related technologies
  • Experience with automation and NGS library prep is a plus
  • Experience with handling NGS data a plus

Responsibilities

  • Formulation and characterization of nanoparticle platforms for nucleic acid delivery (e.g. Electrophoresis, DLS, HPLC, etc.)
  • In vitro evaluation of nucleic acid formulation, including expertise on cellular receptors and targeting (e.g. mammalian cell culture, transfection, receptor density and internalization, etc)
  • Act as a SME in the HSC targeting space cross-functionally, and openly communicate with necessary teams
  • Development of actively targeted nanoparticle platform, including target receptor identification/selection in the context of receptor biology, target engagement and receptor internalization kinetics; ligand selection/curation; particle decoration and related characterization techniques.
  • Perform R&D on novel assays to bring in new technologies to the broader team
