About The Position

Responsible for maintaining an active student council. Supervises and conducts election of members from student body. Monitors meetings held during and/or outside the school day. Determines and monitors eligibility of all members. Facilitates communication between staff, students, and parents. Advises and guides in the organization, promotion, and implementation of student social activities and community service activities. Operates within District and SDHSAA policies. Supervises all student council activities. Responsible for the maintenance of the Trust & Agency Account. Responsible for coordinating fundraising activities with Activities Director or Principal. Completes paperwork as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in organization, public relations, and time management
Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit

Nice To Haves

One year of Student Council advisory experience preferred
