About The Position

The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a HS Research Technician 2 to support computational biology research in Dr. Vadigepalli’s research laboratory. This position will contribute to data-driven research activities focused on the analysis and modeling of complex biological and health-related data. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or MATLAB, with the ability to apply computational approaches to research questions. Experience or familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning methods is highly desirable. Prior research experience in a laboratory, academic, or applied research setting is preferred. The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressive department with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide quality work in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation, training, and education. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 0-2 years of related research experience
  • Programming skills in Python, R, or Matlab
  • Previous experience in using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods
