About The Position

Knoxville Community School District seeks to fill the following position for the 2026-2027 school year: Language Arts Teacher Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements and demonstrate the ability to: Required Qualifications Properly Licensed with Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for this position with one or more of the following endorsements: 120: 5-12 English/Language Arts or 1201: 5-12 Language Arts - All Primary Responsibilities The HS Language Arts Teacher (9-12) provides standards-based instruction for students in ninth through twelfth grade. This position supports student skill development, appreciation of the English language, and creativity through a creative writing elective. Be a team-oriented, student-centered educator Support a school culture grounded in relationships, respect and growth Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for and implementation of the school district’s student achievement goals. Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position. Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction. Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students. Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning. Demonstrates competence in classroom management.
