About The Position

The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for the high school students. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care. The rehabilitation co-op is for student interested in (Speech, Occupational and Physical therapy) The rehabilitation Therapy Co- Op is a great way to shadow in our Muncy, Lockhaven and Jersey Shore Hospital It is for high school juniors to apply to complete the Co Op for their Senior Year. This is the application for the rehabilitation co-op system wide is for; Jersey Shore, Muncy and Lock Haven.

Responsibilities

• The position will focus on providing patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
• Fulfills designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
• Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to standards.
• Assists with patient transfer and transport as needed.
• Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Assists in clerical responsibilities as required for task completion.
• Suggests issues for improvement and offer solutions on issues.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
