About The Position

Alphanumeric is hiring a HRSG Engineer to work in Lake Mary, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability. Pay Range: $100 - $130K ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  Review client technical specifications against product offerings and offer comment to clients  Prepare technical specifications for HRSG purchase including the following types of documents  Process & Instrumentation Diagrams  Detailed Technical Specification  HRSG performance requirements  HRSG performance guarantee requirements  Scope of Supply/Division of Responsibility Documents  Emission Requirements  HRSG Bill of Quantities  Review Project requirements for emission guarantees and come up with emission guarantees to be offered to clients.  Interact with HRSG suppliers and Catalyst suppliers to come up with emission guarantees that should be offered in proposals to customers.  Interact and co-ordinate with offsite/overseas teams for HRSG related scope of work.  Participate in HRSG contract negotiations with supplier/s and act as the subject matter HRSG technical expert to discuss and negotiate technical aspects of the project.  Review the Thermal Performance requirements for the project and advise HRSG Thermal Performance requirements to the proposal and project teams.  Review HRSG proposals and customer requirements and conform proposals against those requirements  Meet with customer to resolve outstanding technical concerns prior to contract award and during contract execution stage JOB DESCRIPTION  Review all HRSG supplied drawings and design data for compliance to Customer requirements.  Lead HRSG design reviews with HRSG suppliers and EPC contractor to assure mutual project success during contract execution.  Support project management and global sourcing teams to assist in the resolution of any commercial item with the client or the HRSG supplier.  Travel to combined cycle plant site to assist in the resolution of technical issues related to the HRSG design, installation or performance.  Support initiatives for combined cycle plant and product improvements  Act as a mentor for Engineers in the team and provide guidance on HRSG engineering activities.  Leads the team process improvement initiatives and standardizations within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering from four-year college or university
  • at least 5 (five) years related project design and execution experience in combined cycle power projects in HRSG project engineering or HRSG design engineering roles
  • Experience with the design and working knowledge of HRSG components or systems is required as well as a working knowledge of combined cycle power plants.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of database software; project management software; graphics; technical diagrams; flow charts, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of Section 1 and B31.1 of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code is preferable
