About The Position

The Regional Integrated Special Needs (RISN) Center provides primary care services for adults (18+) with childhood‑onset physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities, supported by embedded behavioral health and care coordination services. The HRSA Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the implementation, compliance, and performance of HRSA‑funded initiatives within RISN. Under general direction, this position assists with program development, grant administration, federal reporting, and day‑to‑day operations. The coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to the Practice Administrator, Project Director, Principal Investigator, faculty, and other professional staff to ensure successful execution of HRSA grant requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Public Health, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a business office, government agency, healthcare organization, or university setting.
  • Experience with grant coordination, grant administration, or federally funded programs required.
  • Experience range may vary from 0–2 years depending on assigned grade level.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the implementation of HRSA‑funded projects, ensuring alignment with approved work plans, federal requirements, and program deliverables.
  • Prepares high‑quality reports, presentations, and official correspondence, including materials required for HRSA progress reports, performance measures, and site visits.
  • Responds to inquiries and disseminates program information in accordance with university and federal guidelines.
  • Participates in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, renewals, and continuation applications. Tasks include gathering required documentation, preparing bio‑sketches, developing tables and spreadsheets, and editing draft and final materials.
  • Provides assistance to the Management Assistant in fiscal procedures related to HRSA grant accounts and state budgets. Monitors expenditures, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures compliance with federal cost principles and university policies.
  • Tracks program budgets, prepares financial summaries, and compiles justification for projected expenditures in alignment with HRSA guidelines.
  • Manages the monthly project calendar, including HRSA‑related meetings, conferences, workshops, trainings, and site visits.
  • Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and analyses summarizing program outcomes, performance measures, and progress toward HRSA deliverables.
  • Maintains official records of program activities, committees, and compliance documentation to support audits, federal reviews, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to RowanSOM compliance standards, including the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Stays current with all applicable federal, state, HRSA, and Rowan University regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
  • Performs additional related duties to support program goals and grant deliverables.
