This is a grant-funded training program designed to equip participants with the essential concepts and skills needed to function as Community Health Workers (CHWs). The program aims to bridge the gap between healthcare, social services, and the community, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support and access to quality healthcare. Participants will learn through a combination of online classroom training and hands-on internship/externship training. Upon completion, participants will receive the credit hours necessary to apply for CHW licensure in Oregon. It is important to note that employment is not guaranteed at the completion of the program.
