About The Position

The HRP Product Owner is a strategic leadership role responsible for maximizing the value, stability, and evolution of the company’s HealthRules Payor (HRP) platform. This role serves as the primary steward of the HRP product ecosystem. This includes but is not limited to Brightree, Kinnser and Caretend, ensuring that the system(s) meet business needs, support operational excellence, and aligns with enterprise technology strategy. The HRP Product Owner will manage and govern the vendor(s), which provides configuration, development, and production support services for HRP. This includes overseeing performance, prioritizing work, ensuring adherence to SLAs, and driving high-quality delivery. Acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders, IT leadership, and the PMO, this role translates business requirements into product features, system enhancements, and strategic improvements. The HRP Product Owner must deeply understand HRP’s capabilities and constraints, helping the organization optimize claims processing, benefits administration, provider management, enrollment, and related payer operations. The ideal candidate brings strong payer systems experience, vendor management expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive measurable value through well-aligned system enhancements and disciplined product governance..

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience working with payer systems, ideally including HealthRules Payor.
  • Minimum 5 years working in roles such as product owner, business systems manager, business analyst lead, or system SME within a healthcare payer environment.
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors (preferably VENDOR(S) or similar HRP partners).
  • Strong understanding of payer business processes: claims adjudication, benefits configuration, provider data, enrollment/membership, billing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical system solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience leading or partnering on large systems implementations or enhancements.
