This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The Human Resources Reporting & Analytics department is striving to be the catalyst for data-driven excellence in people management.   • Respond to one-time and urgent data requests from HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from various systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, Power BI, Excel).
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and timely reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Work closely with requestors to clarify reporting needs and define success criteria.
  • Translate business questions into technical reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all reports meet data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
  • Validate data sources and perform quality assurance checks before delivery.
  • Document ad-hoc request outcomes and identify patterns for potential automation.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline recurring ad-hoc reporting processes.
  • Stay current with reporting tools and data platforms used across the organization.
  • Continuously improve technical skills and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Data Science, or related discipline with 4 years of related experience in reporting or data analysis. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Excel, and basic reporting tools (e.g., Oracle HCM OTBI, BI Publisher).
  • Able to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Designs and develops reports and dashboards with moderate complexity; performs basic testing and validation.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration with HR and business teams.
  • Maintains documentation of report development processes and ensures data integrity.
