About The Position

The Manager, HRIS serves as a strategic partner driving innovation across HR systems, including AI integration and emerging technologies. This role leads automation initiatives, ensures responsible data and AI practices, and mentors team members to foster continuous improvement. It oversees HRIS platforms and related systems, contributes to architecture and planning, and delivers human capital analytics. The manager ensures data integrity, facilitates training, and provides high-quality support to internal users. Additionally, they own documentation standards and change control governance to maintain scalable and compliant system operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, preferably in the Workday system.
  • 5 years of Workday HCM administration experience and preferred experience with additional modules such as Recruiting Payroll, Learning, and Compensation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Experience in creating moderate to complex HRIS reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of overall HR functional areas and HR business processes, as well as interdependencies with Payroll, IT and Finance.
  • Ability to quickly learn concepts and understand process configuration in a system.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient experience with Microsoft 365 including Word and Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, including use of pivot tables, charts, and graphs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert and act as a key resource for HRIS system selection, implementation, deployment of new functionality, and integration project work.
  • Responsible for system configuration and build work; consult with functional users to identify best practices and configuration strategies.
  • Handle HRIS systems support and administration, including day-to-day issue resolution and delivery of high-quality customer service to end users.
  • Drive data integrity within the HRIS and across integrated systems; develop audit, research, and resolution processes.
  • Ensure data compliance and governance, including data mapping and privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors to explore opportunities for extending and optimizing HRIS usage.
  • Identify efficiencies through automation in business processes, integrations, and data loads.
  • Provide analytical support for ad hoc projects and requests.
  • Lead reporting strategy and fulfill ad hoc reporting needs; enhance metrics and dashboard development and usage.
  • Deliver new user training for HRIS and administrative processing; provide report writing training.
  • Partner with team members to assess training and change management needs across projects.
  • Facilitate system training and communication as needed.
  • Maintain standard HRIS integrations and provide basic troubleshooting support.
  • Identify trends or root causes of recurring audit issues or integration errors.
  • Analyze issues, determine root causes, and problem-solve collaboratively.
  • Lead the integration of AI and emerging technologies into HR systems to enhance automation, analytics, and employee experience.
  • Champion responsible AI and data ethics practices, ensuring alignment with compliance and privacy standards.
  • Mentor HRIS team members and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own and maintain documentation standards for system architecture, workflows, integrations, and change logs.
  • Establish and manage change control governance, including versioning, approval workflows, and rollback procedures.
  • Monitor HR technology trends and recommend strategic enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
