The CFO Strategic Operations Consultant position at MassMutual is a full-time role based in Boston, MA, reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Operations within Corporate Finance. This role is pivotal in planning and driving critical initiatives that align with and execute the vision and strategy of Corporate Finance. The consultant will act as a quarterback for cross-functional planning, prioritization, and execution of efforts, ensuring effective cohesion across the CFO Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The focus will be on strategic alignment and execution, enabling the CFO to achieve desired outcomes. The CFO Strategic Operations team is dedicated to enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and influence within the CFO organization while maintaining a customer-centric approach. This team is responsible for delivering continuous improvement, change management, collaboration, planning, and employee engagement services to the CFO organization and its business partners. As the team expands its practices to meet critical business needs, the consultant will play a key role in generating value and improving ways of working at MassMutual. In this role, the consultant will lead the planning and development of CFO objectives, outcomes, and measurements, ensuring their connectivity. They will utilize strategic, analytic, and influence skills to drive outcomes that align with the CFO vision. The consultant will govern the intake and prioritization of initiatives, ensuring that the CFO organization focuses on the right projects at the right time. Additionally, they will partner with corporate project governance teams and technology partners to facilitate seamless engagements, manage the CFO All Employee Meetings, and oversee the CFO KPI dashboard to report metrics that matter to the SLT routinely. The position requires a collaborative approach, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities effectively. The consultant will also provide expertise in internal communications to ensure proper messaging and timing across the organization.
