About The Position

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the ownership, optimization, and governance of People Operations systems and workforce data. This role ensures that UKG and Smartsheet are configured, maintained, and leveraged to deliver accurate data, scalable workflows, audit-ready documentation, and actionable workforce insights. The HRIS Analyst enables data-driven decision-making across People Operations and leadership by translating workforce data into meaningful insights, while ensuring system integrity, compliance readiness, and operational efficiency. This role acts as the technical and analytical backbone of the People Operations function.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Analytics, or a related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience supporting, administering, or analyzing HRIS platforms within a People Operations or Human Resources function
  • Hands-on experience with HR data management, reporting, and system transactions (e.g., job changes, compensation updates, employee lifecycle events)

Responsibilities

  • Own HRIS Configuration and Optimization (UKG)
  • Serve as the system owner for UKG, responsible for configuration, structure, and ongoing optimization
  • Configure and maintain employee lifecycle workflows, including: o Onboarding and pre-boarding o Job changes and transfers o Promotions and status changes o Terminations and offboarding
  • Execute and manage People Operations transactions in UKG, including o Employee job changes, transfers, and promotions o Salary changes, compensation adjustments, and bonus processing
  • Manage system updates, releases, and enhancements in coordination with vendors and IT
  • Maintain role-based security, permissions, and data access controls
  • Maintain Data Accuracy and Audit Readiness
  • Ensure end-to-end data integrity across UKG and connected systems
  • Conduct regular audits of employee data, including: o Job titles and classifications o Labor categories and cost centers o Employment status and eligibility data
  • Partner with People Operations Administrator to correct data issues and enforce data standards
  • Support compliance and audit readiness in partnership with the ER, Compliance & Policy Lead
  • Ensure People Operations data is defensible, traceable, and complete
  • Develop Workforce Dashboards and Analytics
  • Design and maintain workforce dashboards using UKG reporting and Smartsheet analytics
  • Provide dashboards and reports on: o Headcount and turnover trends o Performance and workforce distribution o Capability and readiness indicators o Onboarding completion and time-to-productivity o Manager effectiveness metrics
  • Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for People Operations leadership and executives
  • Support ad-hoc workforce analysis requests
  • Support System Integrations and Automation
  • Manage and support integrations between UKG, Smartsheet, LMS, and other People Ops tools
  • Build and maintain Smartsheet workflows for: o HR process tracking o Approvals and escalations o Workforce planning inputs
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual People Operations processes
  • Partner with People Operations Manager to implement scalable, system-enabled solutions
  • Reduce reliance on manual tracking and individual knowledge
  • Translate Data into Actionable Workforce Insights
  • Analyze workforce trends to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas
  • Provide People Operations Director and leadership with insight-based recommendations
  • Support workforce planning, capability assessment, and performance discussions with data
  • Partner with People Operations Specialists to inform BU-level people strategies
  • Enable evidence-based decision-making across People Operations
