About The Position
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACRO) provide strategic guidance, policy support, and oversight to WFP operations in the region. The Human Resources Unit plays a key role in supporting talent management, workforce planning, and HR operations across multiple country offices. This WFP Volunteer aims to provide practical experience in HR processes within a multicultural and dynamic environment, contributing to WFP’s mission while fostering professional development for the selected candidate.
Requirements
- Strong interest in talent management in multilateral and multicultural contexts, and in the humanitarian/development sector.
- Data handling and basic analysis.
- Identifying discrepancies and problem-solving.
- Graphic design or visual presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and use new digital tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Self-development and continuous learning.
- University student or recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, Organizational Engineering, or related fields.
- Excellent command of Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the drafting and review of key documents/presentations, ensuring quality and consistency in reports and communications.
- Support routine administrative and financial tasks, including processing requests, organizing files, and monitoring contracts.
- Analyze HR-related data and internal processes, providing insights to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Assist in the creation and follow-up of Micro-Purchase Orders (MPOs) to ensure timely and accurate procurement of minor goods/services.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and training sessions, ensuring smooth execution.
- Participate in regional talent development initiatives and contribute to impactful projects.
- Other as required.
