About The Position

The HR Technology Analyst - Workday Staffing role at General Motors involves managing and delivering HR technology solutions, specifically focusing on Workday HCM and Recruiting. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance HR operations through effective technology implementations and provide tier-2 support for end users. This position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate global projects and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Workday Recruiting/HCM Staffing configuration experience (Workday Pro Certifications a plus)
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
  • Experience working in an HR business functions strongly preferred
  • Excellent public presentation, design judgment, situational judgement, consulting, learning agility, quality orientation, end-to-end process management, process improvement and timely problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in an agile project delivery environment.
  • Experience creating and processing EIB files to support mass business transactions.
  • Ability to act with urgency, deal with ambiguity and influence without authority.
  • Experience working with third party recruiting tools (i.e. CRM, HiredScore, Paradox) as well as other HR technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration efforts to deliver projects, operational changes and resolution of issues in Workday Recruiting and HCM Staffing areas.
  • Understand the needs and strategic direction of the business to translate those into technical deliverables in Workday.
  • Support business users in validation of Workday processes, data conversion and integrations.
  • Analyze current processes, future needs and assess gaps between as-is and to-be processes. Provide best practice recommendations/solutions in Workday to bridge the gap, including data and security changes that are needed to enable those.
  • Support biannual Workday Releases, partnering with business stakeholders to evaluate new features to create adoption plans to implement them.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of ways in which business is conducted to recommend improvement opportunities for configuration and use of Workday, as well as other HR Technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including HR leaders, IT professionals, and end-users.
