Children's MN is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient HR Technical Specialist to support key operational and compliance processes related to Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, payroll auditing, short-term disability coordination, and HRIS system configuration. This role will work closely with the Leave of Absence, Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS teams to ensure employees on leave are supported accurately and compliantly, with a strong focus on system audits and data integrity with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) and compliance with the State of Minnesota Paid Family Medical Leave Law.

  • Support operational and compliance processes related to Leave of Absence (LOA) administration.
  • Conduct payroll auditing and short-term disability coordination.
  • Configure HRIS systems and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Leave of Absence, Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HRIS and LOA administration, or auditing experience in a healthcare or large organizational setting.
  • Experience working with LOA processes and short-term disability programs.
  • Proficient in using UKG for HR, Payroll, and LOA/Benefit processes.
  • Basic query writing and reporting experience.
  • Experience testing benefit and payroll interface files and workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Healthcare or hospital HR experience.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and State of Minnesota laws.
  • Prior participation in UKG implementation or optimization projects.
