About The Position

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and support of HR information systems that impact payroll, workforce management, reporting, and employee data integrity. Reporting to the HR Systems Manager, this role supports and maintains assigned system areas and serves as a primary operational point of contact for HR system functionality, configuration, reporting, and issue resolution. The HR Systems Analyst plays a critical role in ongoing system enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and post-implementation stabilization efforts, ensuring HR systems operate effectively, securely, and in compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration required, with HR Systems experience preferred.
  • Experience consulting with stakeholders to identify business and process needs.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or enterprise platforms required.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems and HR business processes.
  • Experience owning system modules or functional areas.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, configure systems, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy and internal controls.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently.
  • Exposure to integrations or workflow automation.
  • Experience supporting HR programs and initiatives through systems implementation.
  • Experience with go-live projects and system testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Experience with data analysis and report creation.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistent, regular good attendance.
  • Be available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Obtain and maintain Tribal Gaming License.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies not to exceed approximately 10-15 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Human Capital Management systems (Dayforce HCM preferred).
  • HRIP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • HR Systems Management & Administration: Support and maintain assigned HR system modules and functional areas (e.g., timekeeping, access/security roles, reporting, workflows).
  • Perform day-to-day HR systems administration including configuration, user access, permissions, and maintenance within established governance standards.
  • Monitor system performance and data integrity; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT partners to troubleshoot integrations and system defects.
  • Evaluate system functionality and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Business Partnership & Requirements Analysis: Serve as primary operational point of contact for HR stakeholders within assigned functional areas.
  • Analyze business needs and translate them into system configurations or enhancement requests.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, and configuration records.
  • Partner with HR Systems Manager on prioritization and roadmap planning.
  • Testing, Enhancements & Change Management Support and coordinate testing efforts for assigned modules during upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality releases.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), validate results, and manage issue resolution through deployment.
  • Support change management activities including communications, training materials, and rollout support.
  • Reporting & Analytics Build, maintain, and refine operational and management-level HR reports.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and data consistency across systems.
  • Partner with HR leadership to refine reporting needs and improve data accessibility.
  • Compliance, Security & Controls Administer system access controls and conduct routine access reviews.
  • Ensure system usage aligns with internal controls, data privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation and system data.
  • Support systematic security audits according to organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with IT security to implement appropriate access controls and safeguards.
  • Ensure all systems maintain compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and policies.
  • Training & Documentation Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, and system documentation.
  • Deliver training and ongoing support to HR staff and managers on system functionality and best practices.
  • System Evaluation & Strategic Alignment: Evaluate HR systems' alignment with departmental and operational objectives.
  • Contribute recommendations for system enhancements in partnership with the HR Systems Manager.
  • Provide data-driven input to support HR operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with: The Kalispel Tribe of Indians-State of Washington Gaming Compact All KTOI, KTEA and NQRC policies, procedures and internal controls NIGC Regulations Other relevant governance requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Ensure control and protection of company assets.
