About The Position

The HR Summer Internship at UTHealth Houston offers students a paid, on-site opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources operations. Interns will work closely with seasoned HR professionals and utilize advanced technology to support recruitment and data analysis projects, culminating in a presentation at the end of the program.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled student or recent graduate of a bachelor's program in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong motivation and capacity to learn.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Recruitment Operations Analyst functional area with innovative projects and data storytelling.
  • Participate in monthly internship engagement events to collaborate and share on current projects.
  • Attend and complete all scheduled training modules, webinars, and tours.
  • Facilitate at least one bi-weekly meeting with the internship cohort.
  • Learn and adapt to required technology, demonstrating entry-level proficiency.
