The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking an HR Specialist for Employee and Labor Relations. This position performs various job responsibilities within the framework of established procedures, policies, and standards under supervision from the HR Director. Provides consultation to employees and management as it relates to policy, performance management, collective bargaining agreements, and other matters related to employee and labor relations. As part of a fast-paced human resources team, work with human resource representatives and management to advise them on day-to-day interpretation and application of Health Care and UI policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Ensures practices are in compliance with UI and regulatory policies and federal and state laws. Provide consultative services for all levels of management regarding progressive disciplinary action and employee counseling and performance management.
