The HR Scheduling Coordinator is the central hub for Purgatory Resort's operational efficiency and employee scheduling. This role acts as a key partner to both department managers and Human Resources, utilizing our HRIS platform, Paycom, to build, manage, and optimize schedules. You will be the subject matter expert on our scheduling system, ensuring that we have the right people in the right place at the right time to deliver an exceptional guest experience, all while supporting fair, consistent HR practices. This is a seasonal position from 10/1/2025 to 4/15/2025. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business.   • Work closely with Human Resources and Departmental Managers regarding recruiting needs to fill schedules and employment status.
  • Manage a dashboard for call offs and find appropriate replacement coverage.
  • Monitor staffing levels to optimize departmental needs.
  • Build departmental schedules.
  • Responsible for analyzing staffing level KPI’s.
  • Address team members and manager questions regarding schedules.
  • Move team members into schedule groups.
  • Respond to departmental daily needs for team members.
  • Act as primary communication portal with department managers and supervisors: including open shifts, staffing levels, rotations, changes to the operation, etc.
  • Record and analyze team member attendance and alert managers when the team member has violated attendance policy.
  • Set up templates or make adjustments to current templates.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Direct experience with an HRIS/scheduling software is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Paycom, specifically the Scheduler and Time & Attendance modules, is highly preferred.
  • A background or formal education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, track KPIs, and make informed recommendations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with managers, employees, and HR.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in employee scheduling, workforce planning, or a similar role in a dynamic, multi-departmental environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace applications.
  • Experience in a seasonal business, hospitality, or resort environment.
