About The Position

Metro Aviation, Inc. is seeking an HR/Recruiting Intern (12-Week Internship) to work as an integral part of the Metro team at Metro Aviation, Inc. Headquarters in Shreveport, Louisiana. The HR/Recruiting Intern will provide hands-on support to the Human Resources team by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and event coordination. This role is designed to offer practical experience in talent acquisition and HR operations while contributing to the efficiency of daily processes.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a related bachelor's or master's degree program.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR team with onboarding processes by preparing new hire materials, coordinating orientation schedules, assisting with logistics, and ensuring accurate completion of documentation.
  • Maintain and organize recruiting folders; audit templates and formatting within the company's applicant tracking system to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Create, update, and track recruiting events in the Company's applicant tracking system, including maintaining event details and logistics.
  • Organize and support recruiting events by coordinating booth numbers, collecting shipping information, sending details to Marketing, and setting calendar reminders.
  • Track and update recruiting costs in Smartsheet to ensure accurate budget reporting.
  • Update inventory records of HR and recruiting materials in the applicable spreadsheet.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Recruiting team, including document preparation and data entry.
  • Attend local recruiting and career events to represent the company and assist with candidate engagement.
  • Research and suggest improvements to recruiting processes and HR initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all candidate and employee information.
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
