About The Position

The HR Project Consultant at Thermo Fisher Scientific is a pivotal role focused on driving HR strategic goals through effective project management and stakeholder engagement. This position requires a tech-savvy individual who can navigate complex project landscapes, facilitate collaboration across various HR platforms, and enhance business outcomes through continuous improvement initiatives. The consultant will lead and support HR projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and delivering impactful results in a fast-paced, global environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, IT or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR consultation, HR Operations, or HR Information Technology.
  • Strong project management skills and experience in interpreting customer needs into operational requirements.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, including facilitation skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues, make decisions, and solve problems.
  • Experience with Workday HCM, ServiceNow, or other HR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate understanding and alignment across HR Platforms/COEs by influencing team decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Engage with internal customers to connect HR goals with project priorities and organizational impact.
  • Develop roadmaps in partnership with HR Platforms reflecting strategic goal prioritization.
  • Lead project management activities including developing project charters, plans, and communication strategies.
  • Facilitate effective internal customer and project team meetings to ensure clarity on tasks and timelines.
  • Translate end state goals into scope requirements and effective project plans.
  • Identify risks and remediate issues to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Create and deliver presentations to drive alignment and understanding among stakeholders.
  • Champion an environment of continuous learning and improvement within HR Operations.
