About the position

The HR Project Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within the human resources department in identifying and implementing best practices and forward-looking initiatives for US Operations. This role involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed efficiently and align with business goals from conception through to completion. This position is a leadership role in the department and will work towards improving the organization's overall performance by managing its most valuable assets, its employees. Specifically, the role involves aligning project objectives with company goals and making sure assigned project team members have the tools they need to meet project deadlines; this comprises everything from developing and executing project plans to leading project teams, reporting on progression, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The key goal of the HR Project Administrator is to ensure the successful implementation of projects that contribute to the overall effectiveness and success of the HR function in the organization and responsible for training all personnel on new initiatives, policy and practice; preparing and managing project budgets and timelines with assigned critical deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (with Human Resources emphasis preferred), Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Verifiable continuing education in the field desired.
  • Certifications within the Human Resources discipline is highly desirable, e.g., Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), IAML certification courses completed, SHRM certification courses completed, Employer's Group, or similar.
  • Advanced education and/or a Master's degree in a related field and professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable, but not required.
  • More than 10 years of combined experience in Human Resources, with 5 years minimum in a supervisory role within a fully functional HR department, particularly in managing large-scale HR projects.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, procedures, and best practices and advanced knowledge of labor law.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading HR projects from inception to completion.
  • Solid experience in managing end-to-end HR projects, knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
