This Position reports to: HR Business Partner Your role and responsibilities: ABB in Senatobia, MS is growing! The HR team is excited to add members to the team that will be able to help support the 1100+ employees and contractors currently running operations in the manufacturing facility. As the HR Operations Specialist in Senatobia, you will have the opportunity to act as the main HR point-of-contact for employees on the facility's 2nd and 3rd shifts. Each day, you will ensure a high-quality customer experience by committing to complete, accurate and timely completion of HR transactions. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the globally set standards for HR operations and ensuring that the respective business processes adhere to the local legal and regulatory requirements. Candidates must be comfortable acting independently when on assigned shift, and have skills and background to assist employees and escalate situations when warranted. Candidates must be able to work an onsite schedule in our Senatobia, MS manufacturing facility (#LI-Onsite). Target working hours for this position will overlap with both 2nd and 3rd shifts (ideally either 4PM - 12AM or 5PM - 1AM daily). You will be mainly accountable for:

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in HR, Business Administration, etc. or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing / plant / distribution center environment.
  • Strong understanding of basic HR Generalist support - including Payroll, Benefits, Employee Relations, onboarding, training, compliance, etc.
  • Proficient in Workday HRIS Systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution skills required.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining confidential employee records and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily focused on supporting and overseeing 2nd and 3rd shifts and offering general HR support and guidance to employees, contractors, supervisors, etc.
  • Executing and delivering HR services in compliance with agreed business processes, KPIs and quality targets in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner, showing an end-to-end responsibility.
  • Acting as an expert in complex business cases/projects by offering operations expertise and knowledge and driving collaboration across different countries and functions.
  • Identifying deficiencies of existing business processes, taking responsibility for the correct handling of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and proactively recommending enhancements and/or simplification based on day-to-day experience.
  • Performing control tasks with autonomy, including 4-eye-check / SOX checks, data protection and country legal/regulatory compliance tasks
