What You’ll Do As our HR Onboarding & Credentialing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our healthcare workforce by ensuring new hires are fully prepared and compliant from day one. This role coordinates onboarding and manages credentialing processes for both clinical and non-clinical team members to support safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare HR, onboarding, or credentialing
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (Joint Commission, CMS, and state licensing requirements)
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS, credentialing software, or healthcare systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Welcome & Onboard New Team Members
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for clinical and non-clinical employees
  • Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding documentation
  • Facilitate healthcare orientation and required compliance training
  • Partner with IT, payroll, security, and leadership to ensure timely system access and readiness
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
  • Manage Credentialing & Compliance
  • Collect and verify licenses, certifications, and credentials for healthcare professionals
  • Perform primary source verification of licenses, education, and work history
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screens, immunizations, and health screenings
  • Track expiration dates and ensure ongoing credential compliance
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare credentialing files for regulatory reviews
  • Support Regulatory Readiness
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to onboarding and credentialing
  • Maintain documentation to meet Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state licensing requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding and credentialing processes
  • Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Communicate credentialing status with hiring managers and clinical leaders
  • Guide employees through licensure requirements and renewal processes
  • Partner with recruiting and HR teams to support efficient hiring and workforce readiness
