About The Position

The HR Office Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department. This position involves providing administrative support, assisting in recruitment and onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or healthcare environment required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS or other database systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in HR or related field preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, drafting correspondence, and maintaining files and records.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by helping candidates with the application process, providing status updates, and addressing general inquiries.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing paperwork, assisting with orientation logistics, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and benefits information.
  • Provide administrative support to the BMH benefits portfolio.
  • Enter data into HRIS and generate reports for HR metrics and analysis.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations by staying informed of updates and supporting compliance initiatives.
  • Provide general support to the HR team and assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
