Position Overview Horwitz is seeking motivated, dependable students to join our team as Marketing Interns and Human Resources Interns. These are two separate internship roles, posted together for visibility, and candidates may apply to one or both based on interest and qualifications. Both internships offer hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while supporting key business and people-focused initiatives. Interns will gain practical exposure aligned with Horwitz’s core values: Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in marketing, communications, or the AEC industry
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Marketing, Communications, Business, or related program
  • Previous exposure to social media, content creation, analytics, or campaign support is helpful but not required
  • Strong interest in learning marketing strategy, brand development, and digital marketing tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related program
  • Previous exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee records, or HR systems is a plus, but not required
  • Strong interest in learning HR operations, employee relations, and administrative processes

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and updating marketing materials, proposals, and presentations
  • Support website, social media, and internal content updates
  • Help gather project information, photos, and team bios
  • Proofread and format documents for accuracy and brand consistency
  • Assist with events, outreach, and special marketing projects
  • Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communication
  • Support onboarding processes and compliance documentation tracking
  • Maintain applicant and employee records in HR systems
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and internal events
  • Support HR projects, reporting, and administrative tasks
