The Recruiter is crucial in finding new and innovative ways to identify and attract top quality team members for Thanksgiving Point.

  • Complete bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time in partnership with other HR team members.
  • Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system including: hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Source, recruit, and screen candidates resumes and applications.
  • Forward applications to managers in a timely manner.
  • Implement HR recruiting best practices.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the selection of the best candidates for the job.
  • Regularly track retention percentages and identify most common reasons for leaving the institution. Coach managers on how to increase retention.
  • Identify KPIs to increase retention percentages.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analysis.
  • Assist managers with conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training, handbook, benefit administration, annual insurance enrollment, bill payment, and all other employment actions.
  • Support HR team and managers during performance reviews
  • Manage Unemployment Claims and Appeals.
  • Conduct pay analysis as needed and support annual pay reviews.
  • Act as a back up for HR and property trainings.
  • Stay up to date on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. May include attending SHRM's monthly a annual conferences.
  • Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
  • At least 3 years' experience in HR.
  • 1-3 years of work experience as a recruiter and various selection processes (either in-house or a staffing agency recruiter).
  • HR Certification preferred
  • Strong interviewing and candidate selection skills.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information System's (HRIS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Physical requirements include: sitting and standing for long periods, lifting up to 15 lbs., manipulating small objects, communicating in English.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • HR Certification preferred
