The position involves working closely with region management to identify and address organizational gaps, prioritizing and implementing initiatives to close those gaps. The role includes leading efforts to attract, develop, compensate, and retain excellent, committed employees, as well as collaborating with facility leadership on disciplinary issues, investigations, workforce development, and retention. Additionally, the position supports the organization's desire to remain union-free and ensures compliance with HR-related government laws and regulations, including OSHA and state and federal employment laws. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining the region's communication strategy and program, which includes an active external community contact program. The role also directs effective workers' compensation programs and requires the ability to work independently to accomplish goals and guide department activities.
