About the position

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to lead our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR practices and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast hiring needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Foster a positive working environment through open communication and conflict resolution.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee performance appraisal processes.
  • Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
  • Promote career development initiatives.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct benchmarking and maintain competitive pay structures.
  • Maintain HR records and generate regular reports on key HR metrics.
  • Analyze data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to support workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Promote wellness programs and employee engagement activities.
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple employees.
  • Work with an event budget for organizing programs, events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Coordinate speakers and caterers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA state/federal rules and regulations.
  • SHRM and/or PHR certifications.
