About The Position

Our client is a small, fast-growing company dedicated to guiding their clients through their most difficult technology, supply chain, and critical infrastructure challenges. Their people are their most important asset, and they are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join the team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to help build a strong, people-focused foundation for the company's future success. Our client has previously outsourced their HR needs, but is now excited to welcome their first in-house HR team member. They are looking for someone who is process-oriented, energetic, and comfortable partnering with senior leadership while also building trusted relationships with employees. This is a unique opportunity to shape the HR function from the ground up, set the tone for the company’s people operations, and grow alongside the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including generalist or managerial roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
  • Proven ability to advise leadership on HR strategy and employee relations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and issues.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing support and advising on a wide range of HR matters.
  • Gain credibility and trust across the organization.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues, providing guidance to both employees and managers.
  • Help promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging company culture.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including developing job descriptions, sourcing strategies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and ensure timely, high-quality hires.
  • Manage new hire processes, including offer letters, I-9 verification, and onboarding logistics.
  • Lead engaging new hire orientations that introduce company culture and expectations.
  • Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, communicating plan information to employees, and resolving issues with providers.
  • Support payroll processing by collecting and inputting data related to new hires, leaves, and exits.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, including maintaining and updating the employee handbook.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Support the performance review cycle by coordinating paperwork and tracking completion.
  • Help coordinate training and development initiatives for employees and managers.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Prepare and analyze basic HR reports and metrics.
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide workforce planning, engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and special HR projects as needed.
