About The Position

The HR Manager – Opportunity Now and Employee Relations will be responsible for the continuation and improvement of the Opportunity Now (Opp Now) program at Tepeyac, as well as developing, managing, and administering the implementation of an employee relations (ER) program. The position will assist organization leadership and employees to refine their industry-specific skills with respect to their job role and function and promote and develop professional career advancement within the organization. The ER program is focused on developing our current supervisors, providing them with training and hands-on support through performance management, as well as creating a leadership path program to train the future leaders and supervisors within our Tepeyac team.

Partnering in strategy design and implementation of organizational learning and development structures
Proven experience in project management for HR related work
Maintaining employee data
Interpreting policies, procedures, and employment laws as needed
Assisting with compliance monitoring, project implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required, preferably in Human Resource Management, Workforce Development, Human Services, Organizational Management, Leadership, or related field.
• Five years’ experience working in human resources required, including specific experience in learning and development programs, and organizational development.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of adult learning, training techniques and learning program development, testing, and other effective instructional and facilitation methods.
• Coaching and ability to facilitate and lead training, to research, create, develop, and curate effective learning tracks in various areas of employee development and to deliver training and presentation materials in-person and virtual sessions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels.
• Strong research skills to gather pertinent information.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to research and analyze data.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, coworkers, and external contacts.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures, especially related to regulatory requirements.
• Solid knowledge of employment law.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing annual training schedule and needs.
• Develop needs assessment and develop a plan of action to address findings.
• Develop training and development programs and objectives.
• Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing evidence-based methods.
• Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
• Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events.
• Act as lead project manager for training and development needs assessment with vendors.
• Develop and maintain organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
• Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
• Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
• Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and HR staff.
• Modify programs as needed.
• Program monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, staff retreat, and staff appreciation.
• Support and facilitate related and relevant meetings or training for staff.
• Serve as back up to payroll and timecards as needed.
• Assist with HR projects as needed.
• Responsible for supporting HR team in organizing, maintaining, and verifying all aspects of the credentialing process for healthcare practitioners in compliance with FQHC standards and all legal and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Support C&P recredentialing process as needed by maintaining copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
• Maintains provider contract files.
• Provide employment and credentialing and privileging verifications.
• Maintain confidentiality of provider information.
• Attending required internal meetings, trainings, and events.
• Other duties as assigned.
