About The Position

The position involves managing various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The HR professional will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process, conducting employee engagement initiatives, managing performance reviews, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and developing community outreach programs. The role requires collaboration with leadership and hiring managers to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Between 2-5 years experience in human resources or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding, offboarding, conducting write up/termination, exit interviews.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and organizational charts.
  • Partner with hiring managers to forecast and plan staffing needs.
  • Conduct monthly site visits to onsite employees to support engagement and address any concerns.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive and respectful workplace environment.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions regarding employee issues.
  • Process and manage worker's compensation claims, including coordination with insurance providers and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and improve morale.
  • Conduct team member surveys, analyze the data and help execute initiatives that lead to positive outcomes.
  • Investigate how we can become/be voted 'best places to work' 'top workplace' etc.
  • Implement and manage performance review processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to performance management.
  • Oversee and process payroll administration and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage employee benefits programs including health, retirement, and leave policies.
  • Research and recommend competitive compensation and benefits structures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee handbook and HR policies; communicate updates as needed.
  • Manage audits, reporting, and recordkeeping in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and SharePoint.
  • Prepare regular reports on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism).
  • Optimize HR processes through technology and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement DEI strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to integrate DEI principles into recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and career development processes.
  • Conduct DEI training sessions and workshops to promote awareness and understanding.
  • Monitor and analyze DEI metrics to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a resource and advisor on DEI matters to all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and lead community outreach programs that align with company values and DEI goals.
  • Partner with local nonprofits and community organizations to create volunteer opportunities and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Organize company-wide events such as donation drives, volunteer days, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Promote employee participation in community service activities and recognize contributions.
  • Track and report on community engagement metrics to evaluate impact and inform future initiatives.
