About The Position

The HR Manager – Benefits & HR Systems is responsible for the effective administration of all employee benefit programs and for the accuracy, reporting, and optimization of the organization’s HR information systems. This role ensures benefits plans are compliant, competitive, and well communicated, and provides data, dashboards, and analytics that support leadership decision making. This role partners with leaders across the organization to identify training needs and deliver effective onboarding, compliance, and professional development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including significant responsibility for benefits administration and HRIS/HR reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and reporting tools; advanced Excel skills (v lookups, pivot tables, formulas) preferred.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, especially in working with data and financial information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and present clear findings and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills when working with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Experience with ADP strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day administration of all benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), leave programs, wellness, etc.), including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries.
  • Serve as primary contact for benefits vendors and brokers; coordinate renewals, implementations, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to benefits (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA) and support preparation of required filings and notices.
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance to reconcile benefit invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate payroll deductions.
  • Lead annual open enrollment, including timelines, system configuration, testing, and employee communication materials.
  • Administer and track leaves of absence, coordinating with managers and employees and ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Act as HRIS subject-matter expert for the HR department; maintain system configuration, security roles, and data integrity.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver standard HR reports (headcount, turnover, vacancies, DEI metrics, overtime, benefits utilization, etc.) and respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
  • Build dashboards and analytics to support workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational decision making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in benefits administration and HR systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Train HR staff and managers on system functionality, self service tools, and benefits processes.
  • Maintain up to date documentation of HRIS processes, data standards, and reporting definitions.
  • Support audits and special projects related to benefits, HR systems, or HR metrics as assigned.
