About The Position

We are seeking an HR M&A Intern to join Coinbase's HR M&A team to support execution of our M&A and global expansion initiatives. In this role, you'll support projects that help us integrate newly acquired companies and expand into new global markets. You'll get exposure to how HR plays a key role in M&A - from helping with due diligence to supporting integration plans and international growth. This is a unique opportunity to learn how people, culture, and processes come together during critical company milestones.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in fast-paced or startup environments (class projects, internships, student orgs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HR or business concepts (through coursework, prior internships, or extracurriculars).
  • Interest in crypto, fintech, or global business.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with HR diligence for acquisitions (e.g. gathering information, preparing reports, reviewing org structures, benefits, and policies).
  • Supporting project management by updating timelines, tracking tasks, and preparing documentation to keep cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Partnering with HR colleagues and other functions (e.g. Legal, Finance, Talent Acquisition) to coordinate deliverables.
  • Helping identify people-related risks by conducting research and drafting summaries on compliance or employment practices.
  • Assisting with integration activities such as preparing onboarding materials, drafting communications, and ensuring a smooth employee experience.
