About The Position

The HR Internship at First International Bank and Trust offers college students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Human Resources field. Interns will engage in various HR functions, including onboarding new employees, maintaining records, and assisting with audits, while also shadowing HR team members to understand their roles better.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university or collegiate program is required
  • Must be pursuing a degree in a closely related field (e.g., Business, Management, Human Resources)

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with co-workers and/or customers
  • Assist with and gain knowledge and experience in various audits: I9, New Hire Paperwork, Current Employee Job Descriptions
  • Learn how to handle and assist with day-to-day tasks: Maintains and archives proper correspondence and legal files
  • Onboarding of new employees
  • Timecards- input and review
  • Shadow team members of the HR department to learn more about each individual role
  • Assists with various projects and look for efficiencies
