About The Position

Since 1953, Miller Pipeline has been a leader in building and maintaining America's infrastructure as a premier underground pipeline construction and repair contractor. Our workforce is made up of highly trained and skilled employees totaling over 3,500 with office locations in 20 states. While continually investing in gas infrastructure programs, Miller Pipeline's revenues have continued to grow year over year. This internship will assist with the Human Resources efforts of Miller Pipeline including onboarding, orientation coordinating, interacting with office and field support teams and other HR related projects. The intern will receive industry experience based on the outcomes they hope to achieve from this position.

Requirements

• Must be a current university student seeking a Business Degree or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Must be self-sufficient, a self-starter and ready to learn
• Willingness and ability to contact and work with employees
• Ability to take direction and execute accordingly

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-employment tasks for onboarding candidates
• Coordinate orientation dates and safety training with managers, SQC's and new hire candidates
• Conduct orientations for new hire candidates
• Process new hire paperwork and onboard new hires into payroll system
• Assist in processing active employee changes and terminations
• Employee Digital File Maintenance
• I-9 Auditing
• Ad hoc HR related tasks and special projects
