About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist. This posting is to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings. The HR Generalist will support strategies, programs and action plans to drive organizational growth, partnering closely with HR Operations, HR Business Partners and managers. The Generalist adds value by providing innovative HR solutions and approaches with a focus on employee onboarding/off boarding, engagement, employee relations, performance management, HR data and reporting, HR compliance, benefits and other people-related strategies, programs and activities to meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR or related field, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to toggle between multiple concurrent projects while providing day to day tactical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and technology, with preferred applications experience in UltiPro and ICIMS.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enables HR strategies and initiatives to foster a culture of engagement, innovation and flexibility to meet the company’s objectives.
  • Establish an understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with divisional leadership teams, and create close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE’s), Finance, Security and other Shared Services teams.
  • Collaborate across peer groups and with centers of expertise to support people related programs, policies and processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on HR-related policies and procedures.
  • Apply independent thinking to assist HR Business Partners, managers, and employees in tackling employee relations challenges, such as resolving conflicts, carrying out investigations, taking corrective steps, and managing terminations.
  • Analyze and track key people metrics, providing key insights to HRBP and business leaders.
  • Continually identifies areas for improvements for procedures and processes where possible.
  • Assists employees with Leave of Absences (Medical, Family, Military, Personal) in coordination with the HR Business Partner.
  • Ensure accuracy of employee records in the HRIS system.
