About The Position

This position will provide human resources support and leadership for all plant HR initiatives in a lean manufacturing and distribution environment. Provides strategic consulting, direction and assistance in the execution of people or business strategies, including organizational development, staffing, talent retention, employee relations, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.
  • 1-3 years previous human resources generalist experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Prior experience in a regulated fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility.
  • Support all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Continuously analyze and monitor staffing levels within the organization, engaging in recruiting efforts when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all affirmative action goals.
  • Partner with operations to model, shape and assess the organization culture.
  • Act as an employee advocate and ensure compliance with the Company's human resources policies.
  • Work with employees and leaders to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Assist leaders with corrective actions, performance improvement plans, suspensions and terminations.
  • Manage employee relations through all appropriate methods of engagement.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of all established human resources policies.
  • Assist and lead investigations with Plant & Corporate stakeholders.
  • Participate in business planning activities and recommend human resources responses.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather information to support retention initiatives.
  • Assist HR team with special projects as needed.
  • Assist with the development and facilitation of training for all employees.
  • Maintain applicable HR metrics such as Time-to-Fill, Employee Relations Log.
  • Serve as a backup for the absence of the Human Resources Administrator.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
