About The Position

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team at KnitWell Group, a specialty retail operating company that includes iconic brands such as Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lane Bryant, and Talbots. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions and ensuring a positive employee experience. This position requires a conceptual thinker with excellent organizational and conflict management skills, as well as strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and a sense of urgency. In this role, the HR Generalist will manage the employee life cycle, which includes onboarding new hires, conducting welcome orientations, managing associate changes within Workday, and maintaining HR reporting and organizational charts. The HR Generalist will also serve as a liaison to Talent Acquisition, providing timely and complete job requisition information and collaborating with Talent Acquisition and clients to execute all necessary details. Additionally, the HR Generalist will organize and support various HR programs and events, such as performance and development initiatives, talent assessments, engagement activities, and the summer internship program. The HR Generalist will intake and address associate questions and concerns in a supportive manner, promoting consistency in HR policies and practices. They will partner with the HR Manager to resolve issues as needed and engage directly with associates during important life moments, guiding them through leave of absence administration and other related processes. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will support the HR Manager in coaching people leaders and associates on performance management issues and opportunities, ensuring that the organization maintains a high standard of employee relations and support.
