About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical/operational human resources (Senior Level) or 2+ years (Intermediate Level).
  • Broad-based knowledge of HR practices and policies, including recruiting, development, compensation, compliance, and labor relations.
  • Proficiency with project management software and HR databases.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for staff and lecturer faculty.
  • Manage HR transaction workflow and ensure data integrity with the UM Shared Services Center.
  • Develop workflows, forms, processes, and tracking systems for HR operations.
  • Oversee staff leaves of absence, including the FMLA process, and manage Work Connections cases.
  • Administer the staff professional development budget and funding requests.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director and DEI Manager to implement professional development and engagement programs.
  • Manage the annual review and merit process for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and internal controls.
  • Coordinate all aspects of staff recruiting, including job descriptions and postings.
  • Develop tools and training for best practices in recruiting and onboarding.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
  • Ensure adherence to the LEO Lecturer contract and support recruitment for Lecturer Faculty.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding for Lecturer Faculty and manage reappointment processes.
  • Produce contract letters and coordinate Lecturer faculty reviews.
  • Represent the School's HR team at central HR meetings and participate in training programs.
